First look at Audubon Zoo’s new ‘Jaguar Jungle River’s Edge’ expansion

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — The latest addition to the Audubon Zoo was unveiled on Tuesday, and they call it, “Jaguar Jungle River’s Edge.”

WGNO’s Kenny Lopez got to experience the wildlife encounter.

“As you go through Jaguar Jungle, you are hitting the rainforest, you are seeing the jaguars, ocelots, and then you come out and you’re hitting the trees with the vertical space for the spider monkeys and you’re looking up. As you come out of the rainforests you then hit the water’s edge and you see capybaras, tapirs and guanaco,” Liz Wilson, curator of Jaguar Jungle Swamp and Primates at Audubon Zoo said.
