A New Orleans bank is out of an unknown amount of money after a bandit armed with a gun and some mace attacked an armored truck driver outside a Gentilly bank.
According to the New Orleans Police Department’s major offense log, the robbery happened around 10 a.m. Saturday at a bank ATM on Gentilly Boulevard near Elysian Fields.
Investigators say the armored truck driver was removing deposits from the ATM when the suspect approached him and sprayed him with mace. The suspect then grabbed the money that was in the ATM and ran off. The armored truck driver grabbed some of the cash and fired a shot at the suspect, who ran away…
