Four wounded following separate Orleans Parish shootings

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Four people are wounded following separate shootings that happened in Orleans Parish, primarily overnight, between Friday evening, March 21, and Saturday morning, March 22.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the first shooting occurred at 6:04 p.m. in Lower Algiers, at the 6400 block of General Meyer Avenue.

The initial investigation shows that the victim was standing in front of a location when he was approached by the unknown suspect and shot in the body. He was taken to a local hospital by New Orleans EMS.
