NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Storms are on the way to start the week as a cold front moves into the area. Expect the chance for a few showers and storms tonight to the north but most of the activity will move in around sunrise and after. This will be a band of rain that could be locally heavy at times.
Right now, the threat of severe weather looks low, although we do have a level 1 outlook over the area from the SPC. Gusty winds will be possible, but most storms will likely remain below severe limits.
There is a chance of isolated street flooding due to the heavy rain. Storms will continue through the morning and then taper off later in the day…
