Suspect accused of fatally shooting one, injuring another arrested, NOPD says

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans police have arrested a man they say gunned down one and injured another in an Orleans Avenue double shooting last week.

Broderick Brister, 45, was booked into the Orleans Justice Center on counts of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in the fatal shooting that occurred in the 3300 block of Orleans Avenue on Thursday (March 20).

Police say Brister shot at both victims in a parking lot before running from the scene. Paramedics brought both victims to a hospital, where one of them later died…
