Alleged killer of Bywater man arrested in Alexandria, New Orleans Police Department says

The alleged killer of a 61-year-old Bywater resident was apprehended in Alexandria while driving the victim’s car and later arrested for murder, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Trevor Lee Delrie, 18, was booked Friday afternoon by the Alexandria Police Department and NOPD. He is currently being held at the Grant Parish Detention Center, records show, and will be booked into Orleans Justice Center on a count of second-degree murder.

Officers apprehended Delrie in Alexandria on Tuesday morning, jail records show, before the New Orleans Police Department’s discovery of the victim’s body in a house in the 4200 block of Royal Street Thursday night, NOPD said.
