Addison, 48, from New Orleans, was sentenced to nearly ten years in prison for drug trafficking and firearms violations. Last Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Ivan L. R. Lemelle gave the verdict. Addison sold seven grams of methamphetamine to an undercover Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives agent and another person on August 29, 2023, in a New Orleans apartment. During a follow-up meeting, the agent and the other person were robbed at gunpoint, and the agent was injured after falling from a third-floor balcony while trying to escape, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Addison and five co-defendants were indicted on eleven counts related to drug distribution and armed robbery. They all pleaded guilty to the charges.
