Baton Rouge man arrested in Kenner after New Orleans armed robbery

KENNER, La. ( WGNO ) — Two men were arrested in Kenner on Wednesday afternoon following an alleged armed robbery and vehicle theft in New Orleans.

According to the Louisiana State Police, New Orleans Police Department detectives reported the armed robbery, which happened in the 4400 block of America Street, to the Louisiana State Police shortly before 3 p.m.

Around 4 p.m., the vehicle, a 2022 Dodge “Scat Pack” Charger, was found by troopers near Williams Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Kenner. A stop was attempted, resulting in a brief chase, which reportedly ended at Delaware Avenue and 24th Street when the Charger hit an LSP vehicle.

Inside the car were the alleged driver, identified as 26-year-old Charles Brown, of Baton Rouge, and 22-year-old Terry Williams, of New Orleans. Troopers also searched the vehicle and reportedly found two firearms, one of which was reported as stolen, as well as around 125 grams of marijuana.
