Volunteers clean up French Quarter ahead of Festival Crowds for ‘Love the Boot Week’

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Dozens of volunteers hit Decatur Street early Saturday morning, scrubbing and sweeping in preparation for the French Quarter Festival crowds set to descend next week.

The cleanup was part of “Love the Boot Week,” Louisiana’s largest litter removal and beautification campaign. The goal is to hold 1,000 cleanup events across all 64 parishes by Sunday, April 13.
