Two arrested in Uptown shooting that left Chalmette High grad dead, New Orleans police say

Two men were arrested Monday in connection with an Uptown shooting that left a Chalmette resident dead and another wounded over the weekend, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Harry Darby, 19, and Julian Vicknair, 18, were booked into the Orleans Parish jail on counts of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, according to court records.

Shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, the three victims were driving in the 7700 block of Willow Street when shots were fired, according to NOPD investigators. One of the men, who was located inside a silver sedan that had crashed, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said…
