Dog dies in Treme house fire, New Orleans Fire Department says

One dog was rescued and another died after a two-alarm fire broke out Saturday morning in a Treme home, the New Orleans Fire Department said.

No civilian injuries were reported, according to the NOFD.

Firefighters were summoned to 2003 Dumaine Street at around 10:33 a.m. by a 911 caller reporting smoke and fire in the house’s rear, near the attic. Firefighters arrived on the scene and struck a second alarm at 10:43 a.m., bringing the total number of personnel to 43, NOFD said…
