The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified two men killed in an early morning Thursday shooting in the 7th Ward.
James E. Newman, 53, and William J. Shoop, 73, were roommates of the suspect, who was apprehended following a four-hour standoff in the French Quarter Thursday.
