WESTWEGO, La. (WVUE) – The scales are in overdrive at the Westwego Shrimp Lot as customers bring ice chest after ice chest to fill up with fresh seafood.
“Got a Better selection. Bucktown is pretty good and it’s close to my house, but I’ve been coming out here a long time. They just seem to have a little fresher seafood, have a big volume of it too,” said Mike Sullivan, who travelled to Westwego from Lakeview.
Employees are bagging hundreds of pounds of shrimp, filling coolers with crabs and selling sacks of crawfish…
