New Orleans Police Arrest Woman Suspected of Multiple Robberies While Second Suspect Remains at Large

Authorities in New Orleans have apprehended a suspect linked to a string of robberies in the city, with one accomplice still at large. Chyine Alexis, a Black female born on November 5, 1981, was arrested in connection to a simple robbery that took place on April 20, at the corner of Burgundy and Iberville Streets, as well as a separate felony theft that occurred last Saturday, at the intersection of Saint Charles Avenue and Gravier Street. The New Orleans Police Department shared the developments in a statement on the NOPD News website.

The report elucidates that the arrests stemmed from surveillance and eyewitness accounts leading to the identification of Alexis. Despite these strides, her alleged partner in crime remains unidentified, currently just a face in a photograph released by the police. As reported, the duo operated using a gray 2024 Nissan Sentra with a Louisiana license plate, which was seen in the vicinity of the crimes. The NOPD urges that anyone with information about the individual or the vehicle should reach out to aid in the ongoing investigation.

The second suspect, whose image has been circulated by the NOPD, is described as an alleged co-perpetrator in the April 20 incident.
