NEW ORLEANS — Multiple accidents were reported Wednesday morning as heavy rain moved across the area, causing some traffic delays.
The latest accident on I-55 interchange in Hammond has the left lane blocked, Total Traffic New Orleans reported. It’s Eastbound I-12 and has about a 4 to 5 mile backup.

Around 8 a.m. an accident was reported on the Earhart Expressway. The right lane is blocked on the Eastbound side where it meets Monticello…
