NEW ORLEANS — We’ve been tracking them since 2022 on the Breakdown and from 2023 to last year, nearly all of the worst-rated water systems saw improvement.
Orleans Parish’s Carrollton Water works went from a D back up to a C. The Belle Chasse Water District in Plaquemines improved from an F to a D., and Point a la Hache improved from a D to an A.
Some of the smaller systems in St. Tammany Parish are still struggling, but St. Tammany Mobile Home Park did improve from a D rating to an A rating. Interestingly, despite longstanding issues within the Cross Gates Water Systems over the last few years, it earned an ‘A’ rating from the Department of Health…
