Man arrested after French Quarter argument ends with stabbing, New Orleans police say

A man was arrested Saturday night after an argument in the French Quarter ended with a stabbing, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Robert Underhill, 55, is accused of pulling out a knife and stabbing another person in the 700 block of Decatur Street near Jackson Square during an argument over whether the victim had stolen from Unnderhill. The stabbing was reported to police at 7:40 p.m.

Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital, police said. Underhill, who police said stayed at the scene, was booked into the Orleans Parish jail on a count of aggravated battery, according to online jail records…
