In true New Orleans fashion, the garbage truck currently jammed up and flipped on the I-10 ramp at South Carrollton Avenue has already been tagged with graffiti.
It’s become a bit of a symbol to some about the lack of progress in the city as it continues to sit there day after day. However, it’s not as easy as simply removing the vehicle. There are plenty of safety issues at play that will need to be dealt with before the truck can actually be moved and traffic returned to normal. A support beam was damaged in the crash, and ensuring public safety is crucial.
