Former WWL-TV Anchor Sally-Ann Roberts holds book signings for her new children’s book, here is where to find her

NEW ORLEANS — Former WWL-TV anchor Sally-Ann Roberts and her brother, Lawrence Roberts, will appear at two book signings on Saturday, June 7, to promote their new children’s book, Lucy Sings on Lucy Street, which pays tribute to their late mother, Lucimarian Roberts.

The book, published by an imprint of HarperCollins, tells the story of Lucimarian as an 8-year-old girl growing up in Akron, Ohio, during the Great Depression. Facing hardship after her family’s furniture was repossessed and their electricity shut off, young Lucimarian finds emotional strength through music, encouraged by her grandfather, the Rev. George Suddeth.

Illustrated by Jestenia Southerland, the book portrays how Lucimarian lifted her family’s spirits by singing “This Little Light of Mine.” The story reflects a formative moment in her life and is part of a broader family legacy…
