Three overnight shootings in New Orleans leave 2 dead, 3 wounded

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Two people were killed and three others injured in three separate overnight shootings early Saturday (June 28), New Orleans police said.

The first shooting, at 12:38 a.m., wound up as a double homicide, police said. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene at Douglass and Delery streets in the Lower Ninth Ward, while the second died later at a hospital.

Neither victim’s identity or age has been disclosed by authorities. The NOPD described the first victim as an adult male but gave no description of the second person who died…
