NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – With Essence Festival kicking off, visitors from across the country are descending on New Orleans, bringing energy, excitement, and some lingering concerns, following the terror attack on Bourbon Street.
Some attendees admit the incident is still fresh in their minds, but say they feel confident in the city’s visible police presence.
“There are no threats. I feel really good,” said Melissa McDougle, who is attending her first Essence Fest. “I feel good about the vibe and just hopefully we bring some good economic stuff to the city.”…
