NOPD seeks person of interest in disappearance of Sam ‘Saint’ Easterling

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man they believe may have information in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Samuel “Saint” Easterling.

Police are looking for Jawdat “Jr.” Tinawi. He is sought as a person of interest, not as a suspect, and is not currently wanted for any crime.

Investigators say Tinawi may have information important to the case of Easterling, who was last seen on August 29, 2024, leaving a business in the 1300 block of Saint Bernard Avenue in New Orleans. He was reportedly using crutches due to a recent ankle injury.

Easterling has not been seen or heard from since, and police say he was officially reported missing after failing to return home by September 2, 2024…
