6-Year-Old Airlifted to New Orleans Hospital After Family Pit Bull Attack in Slidell

A severe incident involving a 6-year-old child being attacked by the family’s pit bull in Slidell has been reported by local authorities. WWLTV states that the attack took place at a residence on West Hall Avenue around noon, according to the Slidell Police Department. The family dog, which was temporarily chained in the backyard, inflicted the injuries.

The child, whose injuries were life-threatening, was urgently airlifted to a hospital in New Orleans for medical treatment. Suffering from severe injuries when they were found, the Slidell Police responded to the scene just before noon yesterday, as per a report from WDSU.
