Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson says she will provide deputies to work this weekend’s magistrate court hearings, just days after she was found in contempt of court for failing to do so.
Our partners at WWL-TV report that Hutson that her office will provide deputies to “facilitate transportation between the Orleans Justice Center and Magistrate Court” for inmates who will have their initial appearances in court over the weekend. Hutson also says her deputies will work security at the criminal court building, securing all entrances at the corner of Tulane and Broad.
