Cell phone evidence ties defendants to 2022 shooting that paralyzed UNO student, prosecutors say

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Prosecutors argued in Criminal District Court on Friday that a man’s cell phone places his co-defendant and him at the scene of a 2022 shooting that paralyzed a University of New Orleans student.

Friday marked the fourth day of the trial against the men, Cruz Matute and Tata Say, who are accused of paralyzing Noah Hansard in a shooting on Paris Avenue.
