The New Orleans Police Department has issued a public appeal to help identify and locate Jaquisha Walters, a person of interest in an ongoing auto burglary investigation. Walters, a Black female born on February 1, 1991, is not sought on any charges but is believed to hold information pivotal to the case, according to NOPD.
Officials have disclosed that the incident occurred on April 28, in the 3800 block of South Post Oak Avenue, where the victim’s vehicle was compromised and their wallet taken. The stolen credit card details were subsequently used to attempt several fraudulent transactions. NOPD officials stated that “at least one of the transactions utilized an online account belonging to Jaquisha Walters” in a release published on the NOPD News website.
Authorities have emphasized that Jaquisha Walters is not accused of a crime, but her association with the account used in one of the fraudulent transactions has made her a key figure to further the investigation. The NOPD has provided a photograph of Walters and is urging anyone with information to come forward to assist the police in this matter…
