Marrero Woman Charged with Manslaughter After Shooting on Crown Point Fishing Trip

A weekend fishing expedition in Crown Point tragically ended with one woman dead and another facing manslaughter charges, as reported by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred on the 5200 block of Sharpe Road early Saturday morning, where deputies discovered two women with gunshot wounds, WDSU detailed.

According to investigations, 41-year-old Sarah Duffy of Marrero and the victim, whose identity has yet to be released, engaged in a physical conflict during their trip before the altercation resumed and escalated inside Duffy’s vehicle, FOX8Live.com added.
