Algiers family sues daycare, its landlords, and Louisiana Department of Health over daughter’s lead poisoning

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – An Algiers family is taking its case to Orleans Parish Civil Court after its daughter was hospitalized for lead poisoning this summer.

Olivia and Alika Yuen filed their lawsuit on Wednesday (Aug. 7), alleging The Crescent School, its landlords, the Santa Maria Benevolent Association of Algiers, and the Louisiana Department were negligent in the poisoning.
