Five months after a lost lease forced Milan Lounge to close its doors, the beloved New Orleans dive bar is set to reopen in a new location just a few blocks away from the hole-in-the-wall building it called home for years.
Boasting a renovated space with a “fresh modern twist,” owner Paige Wilkinson announced in a press release Wednesday night that Milan Lounge will open its doors at 3629 Prytania Street at 5 p.m. sharp Friday, welcoming patrons old and new with Jeopardy, live music and food.
Friday night Jeopardy, a tradition at Milan Lounge, will kick off at 6 p.m., followed by performances from Reed Lightfoot at 7 p.m. and Deckboat Sportfish at 9 p.m. Chinese American popup Get Your Mom & Dim Sum will be whipping up food for much of the night and many more to come, with a permanent location inside the bar in the works…
