A man was arrested Monday in connection with a fatal Central City shooting earlier this month that left a 17-year-old Kionyah Shorts dead and another woman wounded, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Damon Garcia, 29, was booked into New Orleans jail on a count of second-degree murder, police said.
Shorts was shot dead in the 2600 block of Jackson Avenue on Aug. 10 just after midnight, police said. Another woman was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound that did not threaten her life, police said…
