The New Orleans Fire Department says flames erupted Saturday night in what they called a “stubborn” fire in New Orleans East.
“The first NOFD company arrived on the scene of 9301 Old Gentilly Rd. at 8:10 p.m.,” Captain Edwin Holmes said in a news release.
They had trouble even getting to the blaze in a scrapyard.
“Personnel located several scrap vehicles and trailer homes burning approximately thirty yards from the facility’s entrance.”…
