New Orleans police searching for suspect in French Quarter homicide

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are searching for an alleged suspect in a homicide that occurred in the French Quarter on Aug. 24.

According to the NOPD, 43-year-old Micheal Hall is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Darnell Causey.

No active threat for Southern University in Baton Rouge; security increased

On Aug. 24, police were called to a shooting at the intersection of Royal and Iberville Streets. There, they found Causey with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
