NEW ORLEANS — The mother of Bryan Vasquez, the young boy disappeared from his New Orleans East home and was attacked by an alligator, had been the subject of multiple investigations by the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) over the course of more than a decade, according to arrest documents obtained by our newsroom.
Records show that several reports were filed against Hilda Vasquez dating back about 12 years. While many of those complaints were ultimately unsubstantiated, a few were validated by the agency.
