NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute has issued a statement saying it is the first institution in Louisiana to offer artificial intelligence-powered technology for the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a common heart rhythm disorder where the upper chambers of the heart beat irregularly and rapidly.
The innovative software being used was developed by Volta and serves as the first commercially available AI companion to help physicians with real-time analysis of 3D heart maps during catheter ablation procedures, enhancing the precision of AFib treatment.
