New Orleans City Councilmember Joseph Giarrusso III has a long list of accomplishments he can point to with pride. Over nearly eight years representing District A, he has diligently worked to achieve the goals he set back in 2017 as a lawyer intent on improving municipal services in the city he grew up in.
But if you ask constituents what stands about his tenure, the odds are good that they will bring up how quickly he responds to resident complaints.
“When there’s a problem in his district, he and his staff are on it right away,” said District A resident Connie Uddo, who lives in Lakeview. “He has really put in the time in this job — his heart, his soul, he’s been in it 100%.”…
