The New Orleans Police Department no longer has real-time access to Project NOLA’s crime cameras after the non-profit organization pulled that access.
According to our partners at WWL-TV, Project NOLA director Brian LaGarde said he withdrew the NOPD’s access to those cameras because the city declined to end an arrangement with the TV show Homicide Squad. LaGarde said that he did not want the city providing images from Project NOLA’s cameras to “television production companies for commercial entertainment purposes.”
