NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A tough forecast ahead as we track a Gulf disturbance and it’s possible rain impacts on the area.
Looking out over the Gulf there isn’t much there now. That will change on Friday as the Gulf starts to become disturbed with rain and storms. Winds will also be increasing leading to rising tides and seas.
As these bands of rain begin to work into our coastline Friday, heavy rains are likely for folks at the immediate coast. Inland the rain percentages are likely near zero for the first half of the weekend. By Sunday, I do anticipate the rain to translate inland so that’s when we push the highest percentages into the forecast at 60%.
