Two people were injured when a suspect driving a stolen ambulance ran a red light and crashed into them during a police pursuit in Louisiana Thursday night, authorities said.
New Orleans Emergency Medical Services said one of its ambulances, which was unoccupied at the time, was stolen from the 5900 block of Read Boulevard at around 9:15 p.m. That prompted a pursuit by multiple law enforcement agencies as the suspect drove northeast toward Slidell, about 30 miles away.
