Man Accused of Shooting and Killing Brennan’s Sous Chef Found Dead

Police say the shooter accused of shooting and killing the sous chef of New Orleans restaurant Brennan’s died on Sunday from a gunshot wound.

Chef Carl Morgan, 36, died on October 2 in a carjacking shooting when he was on his way to pick up his two-year-old son at daycare.

“Carl Morgan … brought an energy to our kitchen that won’t be replaced,” restaurant group owner Ralph Brennan said in a statement issued Thursday afternoon. “This is a tremendous loss for his family, for our team and for everyone who knew him.”…
