A New Orleans man accused of shooting and killing a Brennan’s Restaurant sous chef during a Mid-City carjacking later died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to an autopsy by the Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office.
Raymond Wells, 21, was pronounced dead Oct. 3, three days after Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies found him wounded behind the wheel of a stolen car on Interstate 10 in Metairie.
