NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Dozens of people gathered in front of the Forest Park Apartments with candles, balloons and cards Monday (Oct. 13), mourning 17-year-old Jyran Johnson, the L.B. Landry High School student who was fatally shot on the sidewalk last week.
The New Orleans Police Department has not publicly identified a suspect or motive for the murder. But the victim’s mother Janita Johnson said her son was gunned down during an argument outside the apartment complex.
