New Orleans police looking for jewelry thief suspect in Uptown heist

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is looking to identify and arrest a suspect in an Uptown residential burglary. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

According to police, the burglary happened around 12:18 p.m. on Oct. 9 in the 5200 block of Constance Street. Police also released an image from a security camera that shows the suspect.

Police did not say what was taken from the home except that it was a “significant quantity of jewelry.”

Three days prior to the Constance Street case, there was another residential burglary, just a few blocks away, on Valmont Street, and two days before the Constance burglary, there was yet another one, just over a block away, on Magazine Street. Both of the other cases happened during daylight hours, between 10:20 a.m. and 12:30 p.m…
