A report of an armed suspect at Lakeside Mall in Metairie yesterday afternoon was confirmed to be a false alarm, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were dispatched around 1:30 p.m. after receiving a call about a possible armed individual inside the mall.
