On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) responded to a two-alarm fire in the 2600 block of N. Villere Street. The fire was reported at 5:18 a.m. Firefighters arrived within minutes and found a single-story, wood-framed Airbnb at 2313 N. Villere St. with flames at the rear. All four residents left the building safely before firefighters arrived.
The fire spread to the Kids of Excellence Day Care Center at 1415 Franklin Ave. The center had not opened yet, and no injuries were reported. The day care sustained attic damage. A third, unoccupied building at 2619 N. Villere had moderate damage to the exterior…
