NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Federal Magistrate Judge Donna Phillips heard arguments from prosecutors and former New Orleans Police officer Jeffrey Vappie’s attorney, Harry Rosenberg, regarding a request to allow him to have contact with Mayor LaToya Cantrell.
Both were indicted for misusing city funds in a conspiracy to hide their alleged romantic relationship.
On Thursday, Oct. 30, Cantrell’s attorney, Eddie Castaing, also filed a motion asking the judge to allow her to have unsupervised contact with Vappie. Castaing was present for today’s hearing…
