NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The Archdiocese of New Orleans bankruptcy case took a major step toward confirmation this week when a settlement for clergy sex abuse claims won 99 percent approval. It sets several items into motion, including the pending retirement of Archbishop Gregory Aymond.
When survivors of alleged clergy sex abuse approved a $230 million settlement with the Archdiocese of New Orleans, some of them based their vote on their views of Archbishop Gregory Aymond.
