SLIDELL, La. (WVUE) – A body cam video posted by Slidell Police shows the extent to which one of the department’s officers went to apprehend a shoplifting suspect on Saturday (Nov. 1).
The video shows Sgt. Jeff Kahrs, who was working a security detail at the Dillards store at Fremaux Town Center, attempting to detain an alleged shoplifter.
The woman, identified later as 34-year-old Kelsey Baird of Navarre, Fla., “discarded the items that she was attempting to steal,” the police department said, before bolting from the store.
