New Orleans’ $90 million plan to pay court judgements stalls

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – People who successfully sued New Orleans will have to wait longer to get paid.

This past spring, city leaders announced a plan to issue bonds to pay off the estimated $88.1 million in unpaid court judgments.

The judgments date back to 1996 and represent more than 400 cases against the city…
