NEW ORLEANS — When a pick-up truck carrying a trailer of 21 research monkeys crashed in Jasper County, Mississippi last week, the confusion was immediate.
“Nobody felt like they really knew a lot about these animals, where they came from, or what they may or may not have,” said Jasper County Sheriff Randy Johnson.
