Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival brings jazz, flavor, and tradition to Armstrong Park

NEW ORLEANS — The sights, sounds and flavors of Tremé filled Armstrong Park this weekend as the 2025 Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival, a free celebration of the neighborhood’s deep musical and cultural roots, entertained locals and visitors.

The annual festival runs Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 8–9, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It offers two full days of brass, funk and R&B from local favorites including Rebirth Brass Band, Hot 8 Brass Band, The Original Pinettes Brass Band, Trumpet Mafia, James Andrews, Quiana Lynell, Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, Tremé Brass Band, Da Truth Brass Band and the Young Fellaz Brass Band…
